About Me

Glad you stopped by. I love blogging and I find it relaxing.
I love my Jesus. I gave him my heart and life. To think He loved me while I was yet a sinner. He gives me power to live a sinless life. I am married to my high school sweetheart. I have 2 grown children and 13 grandchildren. I have a job that I love working with other
Christians. My husband is a pastor. We have had the opportunity to meet and have many friends. God has been both my husband and my healer. I enjoy making new friends and would love to hear to hear from you! To God be the glory!!!!

Looking Back:Unexpected

I wrote this 2013. Unexpected
things happen. We can expect that Jesus will come again very soon.

2Ki 20:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

Yesterday I was listening to the current vitals on our local radio station.  This is a program that lists deaths, birthdays and births.  They were giving the name of a person who died. What caught my attention was it stated that the death was unexpected.  I have been thinking about that ever since I heard it. The death was unexpected.  Did she plan never to die?  Did it not fit into her daily plan of things to do?  what was she planning on doing if she didn't die.  I know that they were saying was,it was not from a expected illness.

Maybe we should purpose, not let death be unexpected.
   Gods word  tells us in:
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

When we die, we need to plan to face God with our decesions we made in our lifetime.  We will be giving an accounting for what we have done.

Nor too long ago, John's grandma died.  I have no doubt but that she is walking the streets of gold today.  She lived a life that was all about her blessed Jesus and what He can do for us.  She had made plans that when she died, her soul would live forever with Jesus.  As a 15 year old, she gave her life to Jesus.  When she died, she was in her 90's.  she was an example of God's power in a person's life as they yield their all to Jesus. She was a prayer warior.  She would intercede in prayer for others and their needs.

Has we continue in Jeremiahs story, He went to prayer and asked God to remember his life walk with God.   God looking down, hearing his prayer was pleased.  He gave him 15 years more to serve him in this life.

As we stand before God someday, can we joyfully tell the Lord,"Go ahead and look at my life"  ,knowing we have been a faithful steward of the Lord.
