About Me

Glad you stopped by. I love blogging and I find it relaxing.
I love my Jesus. I gave him my heart and life. To think He loved me while I was yet a sinner. He gives me power to live a sinless life. I am married to my high school sweetheart. I have 2 grown children and 13 grandchildren. I have a job that I love working with other
Christians. My husband is a pastor. We have had the opportunity to meet and have many friends. God has been both my husband and my healer. I enjoy making new friends and would love to hear to hear from you! To God be the glory!!!!

Looking Back- You Have Arrived

My father and mother in law drove out to visit us. They had a tom-tom to help them drive across the county and visit us at our home. They were excited how this directional device got them thru all the big cities. Using this easy device, my mother-in -law typed in the name of our street. We anxiously waited for them before we went to work. Sadly they were not there, so we left. As we drove down the road , we saw a travel trailer that appeared to be out of town. We turned around and headed back to our house. Here they were stopped at the corner of our street. When they turned onto the street, the tom-tom announced “You have arrived” She had forgotten to type in the house number! As far as the piece of machinery was concerned, they had arrived. They did not know which house on the street was ours.
In our key verse the wise took not only their lamps but they took oil in their vessels with them. The foolish merely took their lamps. The wise wanted to make sure they had all the equipment they needed to meet the bridegroom. The foolish only took their lamp. Without oil, the lamp will not be able to continue to burn . Life is full of details. Success depends on paying attention to details. All the virgins brought their lamps. All of them knew they would need to light them. It was the wise virgins who took oil with them, they were ready when the call was made. A small detail, but it made all the difference in the outcome.
It was small detail my mother- in -law forgot. Although they had not arrived, the device announced they had. We can go thru life feeling that we’re doing alright, we’re getting by. When the Lord returns, it won’t be for those who are “getting by” It will be those who continue to pay attention to the details. Like the tom-tom announcing that they arrived, so will it be, when the trumpet of the Lord sounds. Those whose ears are tuned will hear it.
