January is a very special month for me, not only is it my birthday. But I always felt special in....
Mama's heart. I was born 2 days before her birthday. She called me her birthday present. How special is that? I was her first daughter and my daughter was her first granddaughter ( the only granddaughter she had. You know who spoiled her!) My mom was a teacher all my life, she taught over 30 years before she retired. She was my kindergarten teacher. She was the one who understood, when Dad didn't get it when I wanted a in-style pair of boots. My mom and me are a lot alike. This can be a good thing. It can be a bad thing. This happens, when one of the combination is a hard headed teenager. My mom taught me how to respect my dad and those who were over me. She taught this by living it in front of me daily. Mom would worry after I left home, when we were short on money. She would make sure I had some groceries. My mom didn't always know the Lord. As she neared her end of life. I came back to Oregon to spend time with her. I would read scripture and poems to her. Pray with her. And I always gave her a kiss and told her never forget that I loved her and so did Jesus. One morning. I came to see her and she told me she had prayed. How she saw a beautiful house. I was able to remind her that Jesus was preparing a home for her and it could be hers. There was such a sweet spirit in that room. Later she would reach out to me, trying to make eye contact with me. She said " I am so sorry, so sorry " I knew there was things in the past but I could say"Its ok mom, I forgive you and so does Jesus" When my mamma died, I had no doubt,I would see her again. Her birthday present would meet her on the golden streets.
About Me
Glad you stopped by. I love blogging and I find it relaxing. I love my Jesus. I gave him my heart and life. To think He loved me while I was yet a sinner. He gives me power to live a sinless life. I am married to my high school sweetheart. I have 2 grown children and 13 grandchildren. I have a job that I love working with other Christians. My husband is a pastor. We have had the opportunity to meet and have many friends. God has been both my husband and my healer. I enjoy making new friends and would love to hear to hear from you! To God be the glory!!!!
