I love a snowy day! Especially if it falls on a Friday and we are already had a planned no school day. This morning has been so nice. Fixed breakfast, a real breakfast, imagine that. No getting up at 5 am, grab a breakfast bar and hit the road. Getting some extra cleaning done, I never get done. Studied my Sunday school lesson on the Sower and the seed. Fire in fireplace is going, the snow gently comes tumbling down. May just have to get up and get another cup of coffee!
I look outside and I think," well can't plant nothing right now! " But underneath the snow, I have perennials that will be coming up later this spring. I have rhubarb in the back yard. I love it John does not. One year I decided to harvest some and freeze it. It is still sitting in my freezer unused. I discovered, One can not get rid of it. The more you pick it, the more it will grow. The roots just keep going along and there is no end to it. Now its a sore spot in my back yard come summer. I try to tell people come and pick all you want. This does not help as everyone has it either on purpose or by accident. I am so glad when I got saved and gave my heart to Jesus. He enable me to go on in my Christian walk and get sanctified and He removed that root of sin. I can have victory over sin every day. I don't have to fight carnal temptations like I fight the rhubarb. Jesus took that away when I surrendered self to Him. I love victory

Its still winter
I just spent a week with my best friend,my husband. Yes of course, I see him 24/7 being we work together. But there is alot of stress with our job and not very much down time. But this last week we went early to our mid winter meetings in Missouri. By getting away from the house, we truly relax and rest. Esp me, as I always see something that needs to be done. We were able to visit some dear saints and friends in Kansas. Isn't the family of God a wonderful relationship? We are friends and family. We laugh together, cry together and pray together. It doesn't get much better this side of heaven. We ate in places I would have never tried on my own, but a friend of ours showed some lovely places. Had 3 days of good old fashion gospel meetings. Here we were reminded about the importance of prayer. The challenge to be prevailing prayer warriors. We came home rested and revived to go forward with the lord.
I have the sweetest husband in all the world. I can not imagine not spending 24/7 with him. Yes we sometimes can have difference of idea. There is always the desire to help, please and most of all to pray for the other.
So i found this post started before I left Wisconsin sometime. Nothing has changed only the state. He is still my best friend.
Col 1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
