thankful my cat has 9 lives

Don't get me wrong, I love my cat but.....
she is worse than a 2 year old!  I have got after her many times for trying to jump into the  dryer, while I am taking out the clothes.  The other day, I was hurrying to get wash out of washer and into dryer. I set the time for 90 minutes, ran back to other end of house. A couple minutes later as I came back thru kitchen, I heard Joy crying, very distressed. I thought to myself " Poor thing must have a hair ball ". I walked into laundry room looking for her. I could hear her quite clearly but no cat. All of sudden I saw her thru the window of my dryer.  I quickly opened the door, she jumped out.  I thought " Crazy cat, why can't you listen and obey? "  She looked at me and treated me as if I had thrown her into the dryer!  All that night she made me grovel at her paws.

It reminds me of the children of Israel going through the wilderness.  If everything was going good, they were happy.  But listening and obeying God was not something they did well at  all.  What they did well was complain and blame God and Moses for their problems.

People are no different today.  People want to blame others. Blame circumstances.  Blame the church and blame God.

Sometimes I wonder if we are any different than the children of Israel or a cat.  I told the cat many times not to do something. But she would do it again. No harm done, I caught her doing it.  If I had not heard her ,she would have been a dead cat. I felt sick thinking what could have happen.

Sometimes people put off getting saved.  Put off confessing their  wrong and asking Jesus to help them.  One moment and it could be too late and we will be in a lost eternity, with no hope of help. Sometimes people can live close to the edge and think " Well nothing has happen yet."

That is a dangerous attitude to have.  I got after Joy many times. She would not listen. Time after time, The children of Israel experienced miracles.  We can read the bible from front to back and read God's promises and His fulfillment of them

1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Jesus is coming back and we are living on the edge of time.  Experience God's
power in your life. Live by his promises. Don't put it off.
